This text sets out the privacy protection policy implemented by Aicons, a service operated by Aicons in the context of payment processing via Aicons e-Commerce, a service accessible via the electronic commerce web site of a merchant affiliated to the Aicons e-Commerce service.
What information is collected?
Aicons uses the merchantís web site and secure forms submitted to the purchaser to collect only that information required to process the payment, i.e. all of the financial information about the payment (amount, currency, means of payment, etc.) and the purchaserís email address, name and any other information necessary for the smooth processing of the transaction.
Aicons does not collect any sensitive personal information, in particular with regard to race, religion or political affiliation.
How Aicons e-Commerce uses your information?
The information collected by Aicons is used to provide the services for which Aicons member merchants have entered into a contract, namely the on-line confirmation of payments via the Internet.
The information relating to the financial transaction is sent to the financial institution responsible for payments to the merchant, via the transmission and security protocol set and certified by that financial institution.
Sharing data with third parties
Aicons does not sell, rent or lease its customer and mailing lists to third parties.
Aicons undertakes to take all reasonable steps to protect any personal or sensitive information collected or processed by us. Aicons implements, amongst others, the following measures: protection of its servers by firewalls, strict password control of database access and encryption of sensitive data.
